Today I bring you some fun and different pictures from Melissa and Jorge.  They’ll be getting married later on this year and wanted to take some shots for the Save The Date cards.  Here are some of my favorite shots.

one of my favorite shots of the day taken in the Yoga studio.  3 different reflections from the mirrors around them made this shot.

Now here’s a funny story from that day.  We had a “special” bottle of champagne that they wanted to use for some photos.  I suggested to shake it so I could capture the whole “explosion” in the shot, and after 30 solid seconds of shaking that bottle…well, see for yourself what happened…

No explosion at all, but I kept shooting and I got this awesome expression of Jorge…He’s totally thinking WTF?????

We all liked this image so much that it changed the entire vision for the Save the Date cards we were going to create for them…

Here’s what we created instead.

I love moments like these.  It was freezing out on that beach and Melissa’s nose was already turning purple, but this made it all worth it.

Once again I had the opportunity to play with the video capabilities of our SLR cameras to create something fun and unique for my clients.  Before you read any further, please note that we DO NOT do wedding videography.  There are many top cinematographers that I can recommend for that, just let me know if you need that.  Nevertheless, we met with Natasha and Steven and they really wanted to do something unique that told their true story.  Everything that you’ll see in this video is exactly how things happened and where they happened (except the chauffeur, who happens to be Steven’s brother, lol).  Time was a very important factor, since they only had one day to shoot.  The story was written the night before, and shot over 8 hours the next day, and my AMAZING assistant edited the entire thing the next day.

The video was played at the wedding at the Mandarin Oriental supervised by my amazing team (Thank you Jose, JP and Kevin) and by Forever Events.  Killer pictures are coming soon.  For now, enjoy the video.

This is what I love about this church, every time the bride walks down the isle, some dust or something seems to fall from the ceiling and it always lands in your eyes.  The taller the guy, the quicker the dust gets to him, so Joseph being 6.4 got the dust real quick.  lol.

Today I bring you some images from an extraordinary event I was part of last week.  It was a fundraiser for The United Way held at Mar A Lago in Palm Beach Florida.  The event featured famed Puerto Rican designer Carlos Alberto (gown designer for Miss USA and Miss Universe) and jewelry designer George Wittles, represented by La Casa Hermosa in Palm Beach, and sponsored by Seacoast National Bank.  Event decor was by Jose Graterol Designs, the event was produced by Lauren Malis from Without A Hitch Events.  Photography by Alain Martinez Photography.
